I am a freelance mobile application developer
in the UK with over fourteen years mobile experience. I
provide advice, feasibility studies and
design/implement applications that add functionality to mobile
devices.
I am probably the only freelance mobile specialist
who
has
covered
all
the
major types of mobile
application
development. This flexibility allows me to recommend the best way to go about implementing a particular project.
I
was
one
of
the
first
Windows CE
developers
in
1996
and
was a Microsoft beta/launch partner for all the early
major Windows CE releases. Since then I have been more involved with
Symbian, Java ME and BlackBerry projects. iPhone
and Android were new for 2008. I have applications with
over 100,000 downloads on the Android Market. In 2009 I started taking
on larger complete solutions that included scalable
server side processing.
My software has been bundled with Casio, Sharp,
Compaq and Nokia and is in use by literally hundreds of thousands of people in just about every country.
I have
performed contracted work for companies such as Vodafone,
Symbian and Sony Ericsson. My past work and my
blog
have made me well known in the mobile industry.
As well
as commissions to write
development
tutorials
for
Sony
Ericsson
Developer World, I am also one of the authors of the Wiley/Symbian Press book UIQ
3 : The Complete Guide.
In the past I have written for
PMN
who provide market intelligence, consultancy and
conferences for the mobile technology industry. I was also
a Judge
for the 2008 Sony Ericsson content Awards.
I work
through my own UK registered limited company.
